I present to you one of the more eye-popping set lists to come from this storied summer shack. Arguably one of the strongest outings in the band's final tour before the hiatus, this was a fun show to remaster. Upon initial listening, this FOB B&K 4022 pull was chock full of bone-rattling bass, but severely lacking in higher frequencies. After EQ'ing those issues away, you can now more fully appreciate Fish's nimble high-hat work in Dog Log, among other things. It is now easier to appreciate the nuances of the spacey dissolves out of Rock and Roll, Theme, and Mango, which previously sounded too muffled to decipher.

This is such a great recording - it sounds like the taper was waaaay down in the pit, yet somehow there is very minimal chatter from nearby phans. Perhaps the dude was 6'8" and was wearing his mics on his hat? Who knows. All I know is this is one of the best sounding FOBs I've heard in a while - it just took a little tweaking for me to fully appreciate it. The mix is all about Gordon and Fish. Page and especially Trey sound a bit quiet...almost like their notes are projecting over the taper and further out toward the rear of the pavilion. But you can feel the bass and drums in your chest!

Enjoy!

I'm almost 100% postitive this recording was one of my finer FOB's.
That crazy 100 +/- min. 1st set was a barn-burner!
I did a few of these FOB's on this tour. The Hershey Park was another good one.
Thanks for posting.

Hey thank you again so much for these. I am listening to these getting ready for Behtel. This show is Stellar. A Fluff, when Fluff used to be a treat. Then Curtain with. Amazing, but the 2nd set is a monster. The Theme>Dog Log is so sick.
